Getting There Slowly

Little C is always doing new things. She is 2 1/2 now, and some days I am amazed because she seems more like a 12 month old. Through all the progress, I am constantly reminding myself that slow and steady wins the race.

Although she is still not walking, she is getting stronger every day. We now have braces on her ankles. This is helping her learn to use other muscles to steady her self. Her physiotherapist is suggesting new tools to help her, like a ride on toy. All things I never thought of.

She says "Hi" now, which is amazing!

The biggest excitement for me is the way she has responded to the newest addition in our extended family. My sister in-law recently had a new baby girl. Little C is very jealous of me holding any children, so I was very nervous about the new baby. Little C surprised me. He adores her new cousin, and is mad if I give the baby to anyone!
To add to my joy, she is now playing with her dolls! She is engaging in imaginative play, and imitating the adults around her! This is a huge step in her development, one I am very happy to share with you all! It just shows again, be patient........children are full of surprises! 

Revolt Week 12 Wrap Up

Well, I did it! Today marks the completion of 12 weeks on Revolt Fitness, and I am not quitting yet!
I knew when I started this journey that it would take some time, and dedication, and I am not going to quit until I have completed my goals!

Things I have learned:
I am stronger than I thought
Dieting does not have to be boring
Not cheating is easier than I thought
I was full of excuses
When you are about to say you've had enough, that's when you need to do another set!

The first work out I did with Revolt went fast, but I felt it. I started doing the level 1 work outs and was ready to collapse after each one. Now, I am keeping up, and even able to do level 3 some weeks. I have increased my weights, and people are asking me what I am doing because they see the results.

My husband is eating some of the food with me, and he loves it! How can he not? This week we had pancakes, pizza, coconut curry chicken and peach cobbler! What diet lets you eat like that?

So, where do I go from here? Well, I still have 30 lbs to lose to be where I want. I won't be posting weekly updates, but will share on Instagram and post bi-weekly. As a home schooling mom, I am always interested in products that can help with my children's education. Especially when it can make learning fun.

Pushing Past a Plateau

I have been doing Revolt Fitness now for 11 weeks. I am way stronger, I am more confident, and people are complimenting me. Things like "I almost don't recognize you!" It is encouraging. I am always saying how much I love Revolt, and the amazing food I get to eat. I am not even really tempted to cheat! 

When ever you see results, it's easy to keep moving forward. Then you step on the scale and see the numbers are moving slower, or not at all. It might be the dreaded plateau. So now what? How can you get the scale moving again? 

Well, before you panic, ask your self these questions:

• How long have I been at this plateau? 

It could just be hormonal. Always take that into account. Hormones can play games with our weight, but it's usually just temporary.

• Are there any areas I have been slacking? 

Be honest. Are you getting your work outs in? Are you pushing your self durring the work out? Are you cheating a little each day? These can affect you more than you might think. Little daily cheats add up. I never realized how often I taste while I am cooking, or pick the wrong things until I started with Revolt. 

• Am I drinking enough water?

With Revolt, we drink a full gallon of water each day. When it's hot out, and you are active the body needs more water. Try increasing your water intake. It will flush out any water your body is holding on to, and keep your metabolism operating at it's peak.

• Are there areas I can push harder?

There is a group of people battling the same things you are, and they are happy to help.

Bath Time With Johnson & Johnson

Bath time is a special time for a little one. Mommy's loving care, bubbles, toys, what could be better? I have always used bath time as part of my night time routine. A nice warm bath to relax and sooth a baby, leaving them soft and clean, ready to cuddle up and settle down for the night. 

For my first two, I did not include bath time as part of our routine. I was amazed at how much adding a bath to the night time routine improved the night! The combination of the soothing bath followed by a nice massage with lotion helped the babies settle into a nice sleep early with out tears. It was a bonding time for me, and I wouldn't trade it for the world. 

In the beginning, it was just wash the baby, and then out we go! Soon I found I enjoyed the bath time as much as they did. I am a fish, I love the water, and seing my children squeal and splash will always put a smile on my face! Even now, Little C loves bath time. It's a silly time with just Mommy to her self!
